Magnificent wanderings! Magnificent that they should meet a sensitive man of the fringes, humble enough to actually behold them, and unveil this glorious network back to us.

This is Much like van gogh’s swirls being exactly precisely the mathematical equations of ripples? Fractals everywhere. Sublime. Thanks for sharing this story.

thank you for your writing and images, i adore the threads you are weaving and the mess you are embracing & engaging

i am curious to hear more about this co-curation of a sculptural body derived from the mycelial growth. i imagine processes wherein you are providing a substrate base and regular acts of care through pruning and producing an environment...so much fertile substrate!! these ideas and feelings are already near and dear to my heart centre, and this project is [growing into a form] so so so lovely

and these contributions from bayo were incredible, spurred multiple further reflections. much to think about & work on, thank you again <3

aria! Thank you so much for reading and subscribing, really appreciate it and it means everything to me!:) I will be sharing more progress on the project as the mycelium grows and takes its own shape in bigger sculptural forms. I feel that there's a lot of potency in growing a big structure/sculpture that works as a mirror image to all of us.

Excited to share how first exhibition goes as well!:) ❤️ that small conversation with Bayo was definitely a big influence for the meaning of this project and I am really glad it resonated deeply. x

Gosh I love your mind. Such beautiful reflections and stories on a topic close to my heart and often in my mind. I often ask myself ‘character flaw or culture flaw’? For a long time I thought I was broken for not fitting and for my deep bone tiredness, but now I wonder whether this society is functional for all of us...not just the few that can maintain productivity and sustain constant energy.

Thank you for your beautiful reflections Lysette! ☺️ really love the question you ask: “culture flaw or character flaw?“ really it asks us to see how interwoven we are with the systems around us. Even our most immediate environment can shape us so invisibly deeply!

i notice a shift within me, when realizing about how natural was for me to think about the possible usages of Mycelium, instead of relating to it at the same level, and work and create together, as sensient beings.

thank you for this insight <3

stirring - moving - on point - there is to be no adaptation to cruelty - that the current paradigm isn't sustainable is a derivative of its utter cruelty. transforming through an ongoing oscillation of staying in the cracks, emerging, back into the cracks, emerging
